The History of LCK by Kid

August 1990: Raggedy and Kid meet in school science class, talk about passion for skateboarding and music.
June 1991: That summer they skate, go to parties, become best friends, decide to put a band together..but it takes along time to find members.
August 1992: Kid and Raggedy meet a local guy named Russel, start jamming cover songs of Metallica and Motley Crue. Meet bass player named Chris.
October 1992: They get rid of Russel and find Cerial (Kid meets Cerial at an Iron Maiden concert) start doing little local shows, and after many name changes, become known as Malfricka.
July 1993: Play first big show in Chester, SC in a small club.
1993,94,95: Played shows about twice a month and going to school, doing little recording sessions, but mainly just for the fun.
January 1996: Chris left the band to get a job and pursue other things.
April 1996: Kid, Raggedy, and Cerial decide to rename the band and go for a image more suiting to their character, after looking at horror movies in a local Blockbuster Video, Kid gets the idea for the name Lunatic Candy Kreep from different movie boxes.
May,June,July,Aug 1996: Kid writes all the songs on debut cd
August 1996: Gets bass player named Eric and plays first show as LCK in Columbia, SC
October 1996: Eric leaves band, decides he isnt as serious as others.
Nov,Dec 1996: Kid, Cerial, and Raggedy record debut cd at the Washeteria studios on a budget of $1000.
January 1997: Meet SunShine and Katie Wednesday at a show where the band played. Asked them if they wanted to be in LCK and they agreed, also first photo shoots were takin at Kids house.
February 1997: Katie Wednesday decides hes more into a solo thing and decides to leave, too late to remove him from the cd picture..the cd was released Feb 12th and a release show in Rock Hill Feb 15th.
March 1997: Did local shows to promote cd, become areas most outrageous thing being called "child molesters", banned from clubs, written up in papers for being satanists,etc(gotta love the bible belt).
April 1997: All this attention lands them in Metal Edge magazine.
May 1997: Blows up, becomes world famous as first web site appeared, also in Circus magazine. Gets VIP treatment at Ozzfest from labels who courted them. Played shows in Mrytle Beach, SC and Highpoint, NC.
July 1997: Appears in Hit Parader magazine, gets blasted by review, angers many fans enough to write in which a letter of apology appeared.
August 1997: Cure for the Common Cold was recorded on off time.
September 1997: Cure fot the Common Cold released. Reaction to different style was welcomed. By this time LCK has over 40 sites on the net includingLCK.com.
Oct,Nov 1997: LCK does 40 dates on big tour which spanned from NY to Miami over to New Orleans. Opened for the Genitortures in FL also.
December 1997: Took a well deserved break.
Jan,Feb 1998: Writitng for next cd.

March 1998: Appeared on 106.5 The End radio station in Charlotte. They played "Respond", "Self Mutilation", and "Martians Stole My Coloring Book", which kinda got the DJ in trouble! And, LCK played a live acoustic version of "Mr Happy Hat." On top of that, Kid announced that LCK is on a major record label(Glow/Universal).
April 1998: Filmed footage from Rock Hill show for a video called "Suck".
May 1998: Appeared on 106.5 for the second time. Talked about 50+ mag and their new cd. They played new songs from their cd.."Suck", "Way It Flows", "Self Mutilation", and "Shout At the Devil". May 30th they had a huge cd release show in Charlotte(a blast!)
June 1998: There new cd "Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children" was released and you can find it at Hot Topic stores. Started their tour.
July 1998: June 17th, SunShine states that Kid is no longer in the band. There last show in Rock Hill was on the 3rd. As of now, the rest of the group is looking for a new singer. For more info, click here.
